Scream in terror at the 8 legged Freaks!
Killer Tone Jones have a brand new single called ‘Spiders’ out on January 5th 2024 in which they pay homage to the 1950s B Movie Horror classic Tarantula.
The single comes equipped with a promo video featuring Tarantula spiders tearing down skyscrapers and attacking the terrified masses of an American city. This new release is taken from their forthcoming studio album ‘Death Ray Radio’ . Spiders is the first taster from it and beats, twangs and fuzzes its way into your brain, just like any possessed arachnid would do.
The track merges the familiar cramps and horror punk style that we first heard on the now classic Pure Blossom from a Bad Seed album and mutates it into an upbeat psychomanic journey of chaotic carnage alive with frenzied feeding arachnids that are just burrowing away to reach your very core.
Steve Midniter said of the video ‘it was great fun to make with a number of prime tarantula specimens courtesy of Peter Kirk.’
‘There’s nothing like trying to convince an adult spider to knock down model buildings especially without the use of a safety helmet.’
The band would like to thank Peter for working with us on the video and making sure we got great footage without any harm coming to those beautiful creatures.
The track was written back in 2022 but with things like house and studio moves the new single and album has been delayed a little while. Spiders will be released on 5th January with pre- order from the 2nd January on all digital platforms with a free specially designed full colour digital booklet.
As well as 2024 seeing the release of a new album there are two more collaborations. Killer Tone Jones release another track with Wylie Bo Walker and also a duet with the one and only Serena Sykes of Bamboozle. There is also a psycho surf album slated for release with a new band later next year.
